Abom79's final assembly overview and discussion! Mounting Porsche 944 brakes on VW Beetle spindles is tricky. A lot of the fitment is pretty close, but some bearing spacers or spindle sleeves would be necessary. I enlisted the help of Abom79 to do the machine work to get the Porsche 944 brakes mount on to the VW Beetle spindles on my ROTTEN OLD 1956 Chop Top Oval VW Beetle. This 1956 VW Beetle I received after it spent over 10 years out in the weather after being completely submerged in sea water by Hurricane Ivan back in 2004. This car was almost completely destroyed. If you've followed the ROTTEN OLD 1956 Chop Top Oval VW Beetle series you will have seen just how bad this car was when I began this VW Beetle restoration project.
