Moved the hinge the last few millimeters to get them into position so the door clears the body properly when its opened. Straightening out the hidden hinges (they were manufactured and shipped all crooked!) Testing the hinge position in the VW Beetle A pillar with a section of a rusty VW Beetle door removed from a 1956 VW Beetle. Cutting into the doors for some custom recessed hinge mount pockets. For some shaved VW Beetle door hinges! I never liked the appearance of the external door hinges on a VW Beetle at all... they just do not go with the smooth flowing lines.
