All of that rain when the car show ended last Saturday was NOT good for Eleanore! There was much too much exposed metal which of course flash rusted. I am glad that I dried the car down as much as I had, this could have been far worse! This 1956 VW Beetle I received after it spent over 10 years out in the weather after being completely submerged in sea water by Hurricane Ivan back in 2004. This car was almost completely destroyed. If you've followed the ROTTEN OLD 1956 Chop Top Oval VW Beetle series you will have seen just how bad this car was when I began this VW Beetle restoration project.
